| Welcome to the Audiophile Recordings Trust The Audiophile Recordings Trust is a non-profit making organization created to promote and produce natural multichannel recordings that capture full 360 degree sound images. Our aim is to make available the highest quality recordings, with up to 6 channels. They will be compatible with 2 channel stereo, 3 channels with centre loudspeaker and 5 channels with the addition of rear loudspeakers. We will not use digital effects, arbitrary mixing, equalization, noise reduction, compression, convolution or add reverberation all of which we believe are artificial and unacceptable for the highest quality sound reproduction. As well as promoting natural surround recording and playback, I am also keen to promote improvements in audio systems by encouraging audiophiles to test their systems in their own room environment. In much of the material here, you will see that rooms have a profound effect on audio reproduction whether you are listening to normal stereo, 4 channel SACD or 7 channel Ambiophonics with the most basic or most expensive equipment.
